April 2016

Quoth is from Northeastern PA by way of Brooklyn, NY. As a huge music fan from birth, he decided it was time for him to add his own little something to the world's culture of music. Once the debut album The Alter Egos was released in January 2012, his passion increased and he continued to hone his craft and style of electronic music. Quoth uses his love of Industrial, Breakbeat, Goth, Drum and Bass, Ambient, and Hip Hop collectively to create the unique "Quoth" sound. Since that initial release, Quoth has accumulated a total of five studio albums, one EP, two live recordings, and a collection of remixes of his track The Harkers. His sixth studio album, The Jooks, is now in the works, due for release in May of 2016 which will feature a couple of guest collaborations with amazing local North East Pennsylvania artists such as Katie Kelly and The Gary Goblins.

Quoth also belongs to the online international collectives Rootwork Collective and WeltMuzik, where he shares a forum with other like-minded musicians. He also became part of new internet radio station, Unsigned Radio, on their electronic channel. In 2013, he also began performing his hard-hitting original music live in several local venues. From the infamous first show at The Rattler, he has expanded the minds of establishments such as The Keys and Irish Wolf Pub in downtown Scranton and The Other Side in Wilkes-Barre.

Quoth has another side, as well. DJ Quoth was born to bring the 80's back to NEPA. He spins 80's New Wave, Pop, Post-Punk, and SKA in local bars as a retro dance party. DJ Quoth's attempt at an 80's New Wave revival has been a huge success every time it happens. The reception in the area has been overwhelming, and it is a part of his music career that he can continuously enjoy and have fun with. Just recently, he has also begun compiling and preparing for his first ever 90's night. Many of the 80's fans have been requesting such a night for quite some time, and he will soon be rocking local establishments with a brand new decade of musical throwbacks. His 90's repertoire includes all genres- Alternative, Rock, Hip-Pop, and Dance.

2016 for Quoth brings a focus on increasing his presence in the NEPA area, as electronic musician and as DJ. Any interested in booking either persona can contact Hectic Management and Promotions on Facebook.

Quoth's love of music is what started his career, and is what will continue to push him to be better and more involved. He enjoys creating a musical ambiance that all can enjoy and appreciate. He loves being able to collaborate and inspire other artists, as well. Quoth will continue to be an active member of the musical community, both local and as a whole, for as long as creatively possible.
